The People Behind the Smiles!
Meet the passionate hearts and curious minds who bring our mission to life. Each smile you see is backed by a team dedicated to making well-being accessible, joyful, and real.
Sherman Ho is the Co-Founder of Happiness Initiative, a social enterprise that aims to build a flourishing society with evidence-based interventions through their products and programmes.
Sherman is very passionate about building inclusive communities, and making the world a kinder, more empathetic place in a sustainable way. At Happiness Initiative, he leads the marketing and business development efforts, where he tries to bring new and innovative ideas to life.
Since 2017, he has led his team to launch various games and products for people to learn about well-being, including Let’s Unpack This, Mindset Jump, and the Well-being Journal. He has also run various public initiatives such as the Happiness Film Festival, and the Happiness Conference.
Outside of his work, Sherman is very passionate about film. He has organised close to 20 film festivals over the past decade, including the MINDS Film Festival, which aims to raise awareness for people with intellectual disabilities.
Simon Leow is the co-founder of Happiness Initiative. It is a social enterprise dedicated to promoting happiness and well-being in Singapore and the region.
Simon is fascinated with the science of well-being. He believes that well-being skills can be made accessible to everyone.
Simon oversees the research and development department at Happiness Initiative. He loves to take a data driven approach to building a culture of well-being in organisations and communities.
His strengths include creativity, love for learning, and kindness. His purpose is to build a community that promotes the practice of well-being so that individuals, organisations, and communities can thrive.
Simon holds a Master in Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. A fun fact about him is that he loves to live off grid in a tiny house. He loves nature, camping, vanlife, and outdoor cooking.
Ricco is the Head of Public Relations in Happiness Initiative.
He believes in working from home (he hasn’t come to the office ever since his appointment). Sometimes his bosses wonders who’s the real boss in the company.
He loves napping and chasing after balls, especially during office hours. To get inspiration for his work, he loves taking long walks.
He doesn’t seem to do any work at all, but everyone still loves him more than the bosses.
